LEARN. LEAD. CONNECT.

Overview

Since 1985, The Heads Network has sponsored Women's Leadership Seminars. Designed to both equip and inspire independent school leaders, this weekend-long program allows participants to hone their leadership skills and reflect on their career journey thus far in community with other women. Many of the more than 1500 graduates of past seminars now serve as heads or senior leaders of schools around the world.

What makes Seminar so unique is that it is the only women's leadership program available that is taught exclusively by a diverse faculty of current female heads of school.

Teachers, division heads and administrators alike are invited to further their leadership skills and advance their career. A range of topics is covered:

  • Women’s Ways of Leading

  • Our Paths to Headship

  • The School Culture: Balancing Multiple Constituencies

  • Finance/Reading & Building Budgets

  • Organizing the Board and Your Team

  • Development/Fund-raising

  • Private/Public Personae

  • The Search Process: The Next Steps

  • Interviewing and Transitions

  • Crisis Leadership

Seminars are limited, and your school must be a member of The Heads Network in order to register.
