Donna Lindner is Lowell’s fifth Head of School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Maryland in College Park, MD, and a master’s degree in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining the Lowell School team in 2019, Donna was the Director of Lower School at The Agnes Irwin School and the Assistant Head of Lower School at The Haverford School, where she received the Excellence in Teaching Award. She began her career in public schools as an elementary teacher before moving into independent schools over 20 years ago. Donna serves as the chair of the Board of Directors of the Nelson Foundation, which supports programs that provide direct services to children and youth in the Philadelphia area. She is also a trustee with the National Research Center for Children and served as a member of the NAIS diversity think tank, Call to Action. Donna currently sits on the AIMS Commission on Accreditation and is a regular participant in national and regional initiatives focused on aspiring leaders, particularly women and people of color. In her spare time, Donna enjoys knitting, reading, and spending time with her family.
